Wow! I really didn't mean to take a long break like that! We have been very busy. They always seem to cram everything into the last month of school. Today is the first day of summer and it has been a PERFECT day. My girls are best friends. They have been playing with each other since they woke up and have not had a single fight. I know it's not going to be like this the whole summer but I am happy it's off to a good start.
What I look most forward to this summer is NOT HAVING TO GET THREE KIDS OUT OF THE HOUSE BY 8:00 AM! It's lovely to eat a slow breakfast and enjoy the moment.
Water play
My Kindergartener is now a first grader
My third grader is now a fourth grader!
One question I have is "How will I entertain an 18 month old and an almost nine year old all summer". The baby needs to be in the play ground and my sophisticated oldest child thinks the playground is "lame" unless her friends are there with her. This will be the tricky part.
Whatever complications that may arise, I'm ready.
I haven't had much time to do any sewing lately. I need to make that change.

Oh, big girls! Have a lovely summer.

such cute kids! I have the same problem with my almost 12 year old- I just ignore it and watch her ease into playing OR just let her sit on the side and mope...I see a lot of that.
BTW, had a wonderful time in NYC. I love it and would move in a heartbeat...I know no place is perfect, but Brooklyn seemed perfect for me :). We even figured out the subway from Columbus Circle to the Clinton/Washington stop (?, I think that what it was!)

I can't believe how big your girls are now! My girl will be going into first grade too...sigh. Are you making a lot of their clothes again this year? I am going to make a bunch of Nissa's....any good pattern recommendations for fall clothes??
