I love summer. It's actually been flying by. I was nervous that I had made a mistake by not signing my kids up for camp but it's turned out great (so far). We are staying very busy. And the girls have not killed each other yet.
As far as sewing goes, I have not had much time for it at all. Not much time for my blog or any fun new tutorials. I am still trying to find out how to fit this all in.
As usual, there are a few smocked dresses floating around. I will be teaching a class on this technique this month. I am so excited. This is one thing I feel confident teaching (since Im pretty much obsessed with it). I did try a fun new shirring technique. It's kind of crazy, all over the place, hyperactive shirring that turns out looking pretty cool. I will be posting on that soon.
Isn't it funny? When you have a younger one that is in the 95th percentile...

and an older one in the 20th percentile they can wear the same dress! It's awesome! You really get good use out of dresses.
Mostly our days consist of hangin out in the park. Watching the dogs cool off.
Trips to the zoo
Learning Cursive!
Riding bikes
and scooters.
reading, stoop picnics, cooking together, grilling, gymnastics class, swimming, trips to the library, and of course, a little squabble here and there. There is a birthday coming up at our house this next week. I was just informed that I need to get busy making a birthday dress for the little lady.(in my spare time)
