How To Put Some "heart" Into Your Photo's

I just checking out Color Me Katie the other day.  She is a talented photographer who lives in Brooklyn who I plan on saving all of my money to hire to take family pictures as soon as I lose all of my baby weight which will take a verrrry long time.  Long time!  Almost as long as that run on sentence I just typed.  She cuts out shapes and spreads cheer all over the neighborhood.  I decided to add some fun to our Valentines photos this year.

What you will need for this project-

colored paper

a blank wall

natural light

camera

Tape

and a few sassy models.

Step one- Cut, cut, cut.  Any shape you want.  I chose hearts for Valentines Day.  

Make big ones, small ones, gigantic ones, medium ones and microscopic ones.

Next Start taping.

Put on your new Valentines Day skirt (that mom made from "lingerie" fabric.  The indecency of it all!)
 

And blow a kiss!
  

Think about how you will express your undying love to your valentine.

Happy Mothers Day

Although Mothers Day is a day to honor and pay tribute to mothers I just cannot help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude.  Gratitude for my own mother and gratitude for my children. When I gave birth to my first child I gave him life and he gave me rebirth.  Everything since then is more precious.

I can't believe they're here!

I can't believe they're mine!

I can't believe I get to raise them!

Somebody please pinch me!

I think I will be saying this for the rest of my life!

I have a fun project I am working on.  I can't wait to share it!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Yes!  I'm a spring baby.  Thirty eight years ago today my mom popped me out!  My kids have the day off school so they plan on taking me out to lunch.  I will also demand lot's of kisses and sweet little cards.  As for my cake, I have strategically planned on having it at the end of the day.  That way I can bribe my girls all day long for good behavior. Hey!  Whatever works!

Happy Valentines Day!

These are the Beautiful flowers that my loving husband did NOT buy me for Valentines Day! (He is in New Jersy today) I actually bought them for myself a week ago.  I took the pictures of them because I wanted to play with my camera and the light in my living room.  I planned on posting them on Valentines Day  along with something beautiful and profound.  To be honest with ya folks.  I'm too tired.  SO, I am letting you do it!  Post something in the comments section about Valentines Day and all things "Lovey".  Please no X rated comments.  You might get me all worked up and with my husband out of town and all, well there's just no tellin what could happen:)

Happy "old year"!

I love New Years!  I don't like to typical get all dressed up and go out and watch a stupid ball drop kind of New Years. What I love is the feeling of a fresh start.  My favorite way to spend the evening is at home, watching movies in my jammies.  On New Years day,  I love laying around and just doing whatever I feel like.  This year I had a craving for comfort food.  I made this bread.  I tasted much better that it looked.  I made home made chicken noodle soup and home made granola. Yum!  On New Years day we all stayed in our pajamas. I was cooking and baking most of the day.  It was cold outside.  Perfect weather to make soup and bread. I was was explaining to my daughters what makes people celebrate the comming of a new year.  It was New Years eve and we were going to our neighbors for a little celebration.  I told her that every year people all over the world celebrate the comming of the new year.  In my ramblings I absentmindedly mentioned that it will never be 2007 again.  Big mistake!.  She instantly burst into tears.  "Never again mamma! Why not!  I love 2007.  It was a good year!  I don't care about 2008 yet"  It took about ten minutes to get her to chill out.  What a sentimental girl we have.  It's no suprise to me.  Both of her parents would have done the same thing when they were six.  We ended up telling her that we can have a "Happy old year " party instead.  We can celebrate what a great year we just had.  She started talking about all the great things we did in 2007.  Now that I think about it think she is on to something.  We really did have a wonderful year and we have a lot to be thankful for.  Before looking foreword I think I will spend some time this week looking back on some of our best 2007 moments (stay tuned).  Then, onto plans, goals and New Years resolutions.
